According to legend, Lord Shiva took the form of a bull to avoid the Pandavas and vanished into the earth at Kedarnath, leaving his hump behind, which is worshipped at the temple. It is believed to be the place where devotees attain moksha (liberation) through Lord Shiva’s blessings. The temple’s remote Himalayan location symbolizes endurance, faith, and the divine presence amid nature’s raw power.
